Please replace Tree of Life (long pvp post)

To give some background on my knowledge of arena, I am a recently reactivated (1.4 months ago, because i got mono ><) resto druid who has previously held rank 1 3v3 for 10 weeks straight in season 1 and acheived rank 1 3v3 randomly throughout season 2. I quit after the 3rd week of season 3. Basically, I have a pretty good Link to the past and how it compares to the present arena situation. Because 3v3 was, and perhaps supposedly still is, the bar for pvp balancing I will focus this thread on that bracket.

There are currently 3 MAIN problems with resto pvp in 3v3 that never existed in seasons 1 and 2:

1) DK HoT removal (being fixed)
2) Health bars are too low compared to the damage being dealt (a problem specifially for resto pvp because of HoT style healing, but also for any skilled player really)
3) Tree Form seems to be the expected spec to use in pvp

I could probably write a lot more about 2, its affect on all players, and how druids should not have to use so many casted heals, but I will focus more on 3.
However, 2 and 3 tie together. It is now not worth being a pvp healer that cannot spam heals through damage that is too high for the current HP situation. Because druids cannot spam heals efficiently without being in Tree Form, most players feel forced into using it. Because of how clunky the spell is, players then feel like they need to stay in Tree Form to keep players alive while keeping their mana bars from falling to empty. Additionally, Tree form armor is one of the few talents a resto druid can pick up to increase their survivability above "incredibly frail" while taking hits and healing.

To share an idea of exactly how clunky this spell is, I'll give an example from a 3v3 I played about a week ago when we were back in 1800s. We ran into the only other resto druid I've seen in 3v3 so far and of course he was Tree Form. And I don't just mean he had the spell; he literally never left the form. When I noticed that he wasn't leaving Tree Form at all I had the opportunity to root him away from his teammates.. and he never shifted out of the roots. We killed one of the dps because a DRUID didn't shift out of ROOTS in the 1800s BRACKET. It was a very sad sight to watch.

The solutions to Tree Form:
Switch wild growth and Tree Form in the resto tree, and change Tree Form to an aura that still gives the 6% healing. Roll the mana reduction/extra healing/armor from the current tree form into this talent or into other parts of the resto tree.
Or leave the talents where they are and do the same thing. I suggested switching them simply because the healing aura seems more like a dedicated pve healer talent than wild growth.
Alternatively, roll all the tree form perks into other parts of the tree or new talents, and create a new 41/51 point talent.

Of course I wont be picking up the 41 or 51 point talents either way, because I probably won't respec out of 0/33/38. You would have to pry feral charge from my cold, rerolled or account cancelled fingers (It still kills me to not have rank 1 moonfire, insect swarm, and 36 yard cyclone ;_; .. at least I have shiny new nourish to get 8 second counterspelled with).

The reason I wrote this post is because I don't want to see any more druids in arena not shifting out of HEALING FORM to save their teammates. If you could fix part 2 that would be nice as well. Many of the best horde healers on my server have already quit (after hitting front page this season) because WoTLK pvp healing is not fun. Personally, I'll lvl my alts until 3.1 hits and see how it is.

We like the tree in PvP. We changed mechanics in LK such as the self-snare to make the tree more reasonable, but we don't think it's quite there yet. We imagined two different defensive styles -- the traditional hot and run approach or going into (or staying as) Tree of Life for a more stand-there-and-take-it tactic. The problem, we think, is that the tree isn't survivable enough now and the cost of shifting in and out of tree is a little high.
