Can others track my IP?

I feel like asking this question sounds shady, lol. I'm not asking how to do it because I'm not interested in doing it. And I'm not secretly trying to threaten anyone or anything like that, as I'm sure you GM's could track that anyway, lol. I'm simply wondering if other users (non-GM's) can track the IP addresses of those posting on the forums. I suppose I'm just curious as to my level of privacy and security on the forums. I've not attatched any images to my signiture (in fact I don't use one at all) and have not used any html coding.

Bottom line. Is my IP address private when using these forums?

No, Yelena, regular players are unable to see any account specific information including your posting IP, location, account name, etc....

Thank you so much for your reassurance and prompt response! ^_^

Another user tried to tell me you could and that they had mine. Silly me and my paranoia, lol.

Completely understandable, Yelena, without a direct understanding as to how something works you can not know for certain if the other player actually does have access to such information.

A certain level of paranoia keeps you safe. <3
