When I was growing up my family had (has) two different types of turtles. When I moved out to Texas I left my leopard gecko (Tortuga) with my family. I didn't want to have to worry about climate change and how he would be affected, so it was, in my opinion, a better choice for him.
The new pet would be a red-tailed boa. . . something I have wanted for a long time now.
