I've been stuck on Authenticating for 35 minutes now - is there anyway I can fix this? or just wait it out.

Good news, ladies and gentlemen.

The recent authentication issues should be coming to a close in the next 30 minutes or so. If you haven't been able to log in, please attempt to do so then.
