Failed Economics of 1k gold Dual Specs

Simply put I think this is a terrible idea. Blizzard should realize how much money gets spent on each server monthly for respecs, and by implementing a one time flat fee how it will effect the economies on each server.

Pretty much as soon as the dual spec patch comes out you are going to see a massive amount of gold dissapear on every server, and then overtime youll eventually see players having excessive gold due to no longer worrying about respec fees.

This in turn will cause massive inflation on servers, make daily's significantly less worthwhile to do, will hurt new players since theyll be unable to afford inflated prices on items, and ultimately will result in less activity on most servers (although dualspecs themselves would likely increase peple running instances or pvping for offspec gear.

So a better solution to a one time flat fee for dual specs would be some sort of monthly fee. This is good because itll help balance the economies of servers better in the long haul, and youll see less whine from the players who think a one time 1k gold flat fee is too much. Personally Id say somewhere between 100-200 gold a month is probably a better idea.

TLDR: Having a monthly fee for dual specs would be better than a one time fee.

The rulers of Azeroth's territories should invest a percentage of the people's gold into volcano research, imo. This would create additional work for all those leveling up, bringing gold back into the hands of the lower level characters, thereby revitalizing consumers to purchase the products sold by end-gamers.

I am amazed Zar is still up personally.

Seems to me that all of the mudslinging from the Proto-Drakes business should have tired Zar out by now.

I'm trying to keep my mind on things. Someone is stealing four wisdom teeth from my skull tomorrow morning, and the anticipation is certainly making me none the wiser. :(

Wow, you're just a baby.

edit (implying you're really young if you're just having your wisdom teeth out now)

No, I've just put it off for about twelve years now. =\

When I had my wisdom teeth out, it was under anesthesia. It didn't really hurt until a few hours afterward.
/comfort Zarhym

That's the game plan for my procedure.

Sorry for derailing the thread everyone. I just scurred. :(

come on Zarhym.. why even bother responding if that's all you've got? we all know full well that if if someone (like me) responded to one of your posts with something like that, that person would be banned within minutes.

I don't buy that you would've come up with something so good. :p

Its okay. Pointless thread is pointless anyways.

Now, if you want real meaning. Theres a certain thread you should check out :P

That thread is already so big and scary. I don't want to be eaten by druids. Our artists are very actively working on it. I don't think there will be new forms in 3.1, but it's way beyond being an idea at this point. It's in progress. I have no additional specifics.

Now venture forth and spread my gospel. :)

yea while you are taking the drake out of the game fix tailoring please? =D

I'm making a list of everything that's ever needed to be done to make this game absolutely perfect and complete. I'll begin constructing the perfect game as soon as I awake from anesthesia.

depends on your definition of "good"... I tended to go right to thanking you guys for all of the hard work that you've put in taking care of things like the queues, the lag and disconnect issues (especially pre- 3.0.8), and in making sure that there are no classes that have huge power-level disparities compared to everyone else thus giving the blue posters time to play around on a forum that is obviously not taken very seriously by anyone involved.

at least until I got forum banned for it.

now I spend more time reporting posts and trying to collect "confirmed kills" on my servers forum.

I do not mean to diminish your perception of our role on the forums based on my posts tonight. I am at home right now and was looking to interact with part of the community in a more informal manner. It is actually a part of the job.

I'm unable to view your previous suspensions from home, but I do apologize if you got suspended for something light-hearted and well-intentioned.
