Gold already spent on respecs

Since on my Achievement, Stats page, under character or wealth somewhere, it tells me that I've already spent over 5k gold on respecs. Although the Armory doesn't show the actual amount like it does in game, you can see I have 121 Talent Respecs.

I'm asking to please consider this number when charging 1k gold to purchase dual specs. Some people have only spent 40g on respecs in their toons lifetime so their respec should cost 960, where as when I walk over to the guy, he should give it to me for free.

Please consider, you can track this number, there's quite a few people that would think you were heroes if you did this, and it seems fair. Fair to people who already spent so much money, and fair to those that haven't.

You're paying to have access to a secondary talent spec which saves a secondary set of glyphs as well as action bars. How much you spent on respecs in the past isn't very relevant.

That's one way to look at it.

Another way to look it is if a person has been paying to switch back and forth between two immutable specs, they have been paying to get the same effect as the new dual functionality.

Blizzard is not giving people the ability to switch between specs, it's been there all along. The new ability will make it cheaper and more convenient, that's all. I'd be in favor of letting people who have already spent more than a 1000 gold on respecs getting the new functionality for free; sort of a tax rebate, if you will.

You're paying 1,000g to gain access to the functionality for your character to have two seperate talent trees. You need to get respecs out of your thought process.

You are purchasing a second talent tree.
