Improved Poisons

Sorry I had to post this here GC, but I'm hoping this finds your way somehow, since whoever in charge of the Test Realm Forums is not doing their job on reporting issues.

I know there have been a few posts on this since the PTR went live, but it's been a few updates in, and there has yet to be a confirmation of this bug existing, or a solution/hotfix to the problem other then a blue saying "this is a previously reported issue."

I have provided screenshots of this bug. Two tests were ran for a half hour each(not the most detailed, but whatever), one without the talent Improved Poisons, and one with Improved Poisons.

The first image is without IP.

Second image is 5/5 IP

As you can see, the talent does nothing to increase the frequency of Instant Poison applications. There have also been talks of Envenom not doing the same as well, although I have yet to test that.

This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed.....without these key talents being fixed, there is no way to properly gauge the effectiveness of Mutilate in a raid setting. Requesting a blue to acknowledge something is being done about this.

We'll look into it. It may be a known issue.

They went on ignored for days and ended up dieing. So most people have given up giving feedback and now make sarcastic comments while crying.

Then you get banned.

When you junk up a thread with unrelated issues, you are just making the forums worse for players who read these trying to gather information. Don't be selfish and don't QQ just because I haven't answered your thread.

Well you responding is actually a double edged sword, considering if you do post regarding a certain class, they will expect you to post more, and if you ignore a certain class, then they will get frustrated that their concerns aren't being addressed (which might not be the case). However, there have been many constructive threads concerning rogues, such as the post-capped HfB thread. I just hope those concerns weren't falling on deaf ears.

Yes it is absolutely a double-edged sword. The right thing to do in the case of this thread would be to make myself a note to look into Improved Poisons. But I chose to actually answer the thread, in part because I know rogues felt neglected, and here is the result. I should not have responded. Live and learn.

Which I why we reiterate over and over: please do not comment on which threads we choose to reply to. It's not going to lead to the outcome you want. It is just going to make it harder for us to respond to threads at all.

If I had something to say about Hunger for Blood, I would have. All I could have offered at this point is "We are reading this thread," which would have ended up just making a lot of players angry. You would have seen a ton of "THAT'S IT?" responses. I've been doing this long enough to know that. We are carefully evaluating the state of rogue damage after our changes so we know if we have any wiggle room to adjust abilities or not. When we have something to say, we will. Until then you're just badgering by asking over and over if we saw your other thread. Yes we saw it.

If you have posted in any of the three role forums, then you have to accept that the class designers have heard your points. You are not always going to get a blue confirmation of that point. You are not often going to get a back and forth discussion about the issues. We just don't have the bandwidth for that. Furthermore, I'm sure you can agree that sometimes the best threads are the ones we don't post in. Blue posts do not always have a good effect on threads. Case in point.
