[MM Hunters] Bugs with Piercing Shots on PTR

Apparently this bug isn't of high enough importance for the blues over on the PTR forum to respond to, so maybe posting it over here where Ghostcrawler is quite active will help?

(PTR forum topic is here: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=15198919619&sid=1&pageNo=1 and I advocate that all Marksman at least go bump it, if not all Hunters)

Quoted from my PTR topic about it:

Q u o t e:
Bug:

The bleed DoTs applied by the Piercing Shots talent do not follow normal rules of DoTs, such that a weaker DoT of that type can not overwrite an existing stronger DoT. A bleed from a 1700 damage Steady Shot crit can overwrite the bleed from a 9000 damage Chimera Shot crit, resulting in a net loss of Piercing Shot damage.

Predicted/Desired Functionality:

Piercing Shots would follow rules set for all DoTs and not overwrite a stronger DoT with a weaker one - instead, it would either refresh the strong DoT's duration, roll the damage of the previous DoT into the newly applied DoT, or simply not apply.

Method of Replication:

Crit a target that has a large current health pool with a Chimera Shot or Aimed Shot. Then, within 8 seconds, land a critical Steady Shot for less damage than the previous crit. Watch as the bleed from Piercing Shots is lower than before.

Thank you for your time.

We'll look into it. It may already be a known bug.

Please don't bump. :(

It's a known bug. It should work exactly like Deep Wounds, which is smart enough to average in any new damage applied to the existing dot.

Standard caveat applies that we could run into trouble when trying to do this for some reason.
