ALOT of people have had there main accounts banned in the past few days, most of which im sure have allready sent emails to AA and as we all know that takes a while. I and im sure most other loyal paying customers that havent done anything wrong would like to know if the GMs have any inside info on maybe some of these being a mistake. i know not every one is perfect but the suspense is killing us and we havent heard any thing except the same ol just send a email to AA and wait run around..

thanks

Other than I know they have a substantial amount of emails to research and get back to folks on, no - I'm afraid I have no other information for you Goaty.

actually there are some rumors from legit sources that a blizzard firewall was hacked and that's how they got the info

I'm terribly sorry, friend, but this information is entirely incorrect. A "Blizzard Firewall" was not hacked and no account information has been gleaned as a result of an internal security issue. I strongly encourage anyone that feels their account has been compromised to spend several minutes reviewing their computer's security. For more information on how to do this, please review the following thread:

'm glad you responded to the pointless comment I made

You, once again, have my apologies, Shinda; however, I do not see your attempt to spread rumors on the Customer Service Forum as a "pointless comment". I truly felt it was necessary to dispel your hearsay.

Q u o t e:
why you would ban so many accounts?

Our Account Administration team is confident that appropriate actions have been taken to ensure the integrity of the game; I encourage you to contact them if you wish to dispute these actions. Should any additional information regarding these account actions be provided, they will be provided by our Account Administration Department in response to your e-mails.

The important thing to remember is that there is method to dispute account actions. In fact, I'd say it's our utmost desire to re-open any legitimate account that was inappropriately banned -- we want our legitimate players back in the game. As such, I will always encourage you to e-mail wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com to dispute actions taken if you feel that the actions were unjustified.
