Ok , about 8 months ago I stopped playing wow because I was in the stages of moving and stuff came up so I decided to cancel my subscription and start it up again when I wasn't so busy. About 3 months after Wotlk had came out I was ready to play again, so I went and reactivated my account .We'll when I did l noticed my password was changed, so I called blizzard and everything was changed back so I could have access to my account. Come to find out my level 70 was now a 80 and wotlk was enabled on the account.... which i'm not complaining about that but over the last couple months i been having trouble with someone changing the pw and email which you need the security answer etc to do that.

Later I found out that my computer had a key logger on it, I don't know if a friend came over my house and put it in while i was busy or if it was something or I downloaded it.. but they have my account name, emails i use and the security question. Last night they got my account again, so i got on my alt account which is the one i am typing from and sent a Gm a ticket to lock my account untill i can call blizzard to get my info back again.

What can I do? Blizzard said they can't change the security question, and I cleaned my computer so there is no keylogger but now he has all the info.. so no matter how many times i call blizzard as long as he has my info he can keep changing the password and Email he has done it 3 times . They told me about the wow authenicator but even if i get that it just keeps them from getting on my character but not from changing emails and password. Since Blizzard can't change the security question is it possible that they give me a fresh account and transfer my 2 80s to it so whoever is stealing my account doesn't know the security question answer or the account name?

Sorry for the wall of text

I would recommend, first - setting up a completely new and unrelated email for this account. Also, make sure to change your current email password to the one it's currently registered to AFTER you've made another security sweep and you are positive your system is secure.

While you found a keylogger, and that may have been the issue, it's perfectly possible to have more than one infection on the same system. It's also possible to miss some infections, not all scanners can pick them all up. I strongly recommend using at least one geared to viruses, and one geared to keyloggers.

You've probably already reviewed this sticky, but I do recommend going over it again.

An authenticator would also keep them out of your actual account.

You of course could set up a new account and transfer, however I'm afraid we cannot do that for you.

I do wish you the best.

This same thing has been happening to me and I can't get any help at all on this.

I am forced to buy 3 WoW games now to transfer my characters. (Authenticators are always sold out)

If I so much as post about it here I get flamed by 50 people saying blizzard doesn't owe me any help because I got hacked.

To top it off while trying to make a new account online, upgrading with my credit card , blizzard charged my credit card and gave me a CC rejected screen.

So now I'm sitting here wanting basically all my money back from blizzard ever for this failed customer service.

Your in the same hell I been going through, sharing your account with a hacker that can change info any time.

I get hacked weekly and have yet to get any help with this besides getting my deleted chars/items restored.

Buds, if you are getting 'hacked' weekly - you have GOT to plug your security hole.

Set up a new email, and make sure your system is clean. It's entirely possible whatever you are using to scan with hasn't caught something.

And no, I'm afraid we are not going to supply you with a new account. I can appreciate your frustration here, but system security and protecting your account information is something only a player can do, we can advise - but we cannot do it for you.
