Malediction
Now also increases Corruption / UA crit chance by 9%
Siphon Life
Now also increases Corruption, SoC, and UA DoT effects by 5%
Pandemic
Now also allows Corruption / UA to crit for double damage
Eradication
6% chance on corruption tick to increase casting speed by 20% for 10 sec.
Soul Siphon
Individual effect increased to 6%, stackability lowered to 18% (3 effects)
(at their max ranks)
I think that these changes are very well thought out. Blizzard addressed the issue of affliction crit by adding crit bonuses to malediction and pandemic, lowered some shadowbolt focus with eradication now granting haste, and addressed the absence of siphon life in their reworking of soul siphon.
If I could make any suggestion, it would be to improve Soul Siphon's stackability to 30%, which would account for every effect affliction locks can boost it with (Haunt, Corruption, UA, Curse, and SE). That, however, is not a big deal to me personally, as soul siphon only usually matters during the last 25% of a boss's health.
Obviously, Warlock survivability is still questionable, but I'm very happy to see that blizzard is at least paying attention to us. Overall, I'm pretty intrigued by the new look at affliction.
So you know...thanks devs.
Oh, and a big shout out to all the recently buffed shadowpriests. Nice disarm ya got there...
