Blizzard Actually Plays WoW? What?!

After reading a post today in which a player actually suggested that Blues don’t play THEIR OWN game, and in which Bornakk guaranteed such, I became curious as to what extent the Blues do play. With all the PTR QQing absorbing the precious Blue response time, I thought it’d be fun for the Blues to discuss a little and think about THEMSELVES for just a moment. Whaaat?! Wild.

Do any employees stand out as really exceptional players, whether in a successful arena team or big Blizzard raid group? Are there any interoffice rivalries? Would you actually want to take Nethaera to heal your group? Or did she just get the guild invite cause you don’t like office drama? Is Zarhym a General Chat smartass? Do Bornakk and Eyonix sit outside Org dueling all day over who’s forum avatar is better? (I seriously hope none of you are gnomes… /puntblue) How many times has a supervisor had to come by and tell you that you were hired to test content, not gank poor Redridge all day?

It must be pretty fulfilling to know that you’re creating a game that even YOU want to spend your free time on, and know that millions from across the world are thoroughly enjoying themselves as well. I tested at THQ for awhile, so you can imagine the kinds of content I had to peel through. Bratz on Game Boy? Humiliating. Heck, what’s it like creating a game that kids have gone to the hospital over?

Thanks for dedicating a good part of your employed life to make sure our fantasy lives are that much more entertaining. It is very much appreciated.

We don't all play in guilds together. Like anyone, we have our friends, family, etc that we spend our time with in game though that doesn't mean none of us play together at all. :) During the first Arena Test period when we had an event for it, Bornakk and I were on a 3 team together. Our record was pretty decent for never having played together as a team in the game.

That said, I'd be fine playing along any of the other CMs. No drama necessary.

Can I add you to my friends list on the tourney server? You on 1 or 2?

We're not eligible to participate. :)
