Pet Question: 'Lurky' for US customers?

Back when the Burning Crusade was released, there was a hiccup for obtaining the pet netherwhelp for European customers who bought the Collector's Edition -- and they wound up getting a white pet murloc 'Lurky' in addition to their netherwhelps.

Over on this side of the pond, there was talk about us eventually getting Lurky as well, but I think the answer was eventually "Maybe, but not at this time."

Well, is there any update to that 'Maybe' response? I still think it's a bit unfair for the original CE to offer three pets, and BC to offer just the one -- especially when there's a second pet in the expansion for European customers.

The pet is in the client -- so could I bother one of the Blues to ask the devs, or the powers that be, if we can have Lurky make a triumphant visit to these shores? It would kind of be like the Beatles back in the mid-60s, with a lot more mmmgrrrlllgrllglrrrlrrlll!

Some of the non-combat mini-pets we put into the game are fairly unique and we like to keep them that way. There are actually several of these pets that are unique to their respective region like China, Europe, or Korea. If we repeatedly gave them out to the same region or gave them to all regions just because they exist, they would lose their value for the players who already have one.

We’ve given out several types of these pets in the past, some are easy to get while others are quite rare, and we plan to continue making new ones available to players.
