Druids get Kidney Shot. Rogue class obsolete.

There is no reason to keep playing a rogue. Why bother playing this excessively nerfed class when druids have everything that makes us good and more. I've been playing a rogue since we could use bucklers. I've adapted to the changes that blizz has made to our class for over three years. For a long time we were told that we shouldn't have any utility because our damage is what made us good. That was fine because we actually had good dps. Once LK hit, that went out the window. Every class was much closer to equal dps.

Our class has no utility. There are very few things that rogues have, that ferals do not. With the implementation of dual specs, there is even less of a reason to bring rogues to a group. Why bring just a physical dps when you could bring a magic dps, a healer, a tank and a physical dps all at the same time? Yes, its hard to get that much gear, but druids have that option. At least other pure dps classes such as Hunters, Mages, and Warlocks all have utility and uniqueness that they bring to the table.

Many druids are calling the change to maim a nerf. However, from a rogue's perspective this is a massive upgrade. This change will make ferals stronger against some classes, and weaker against others. Kidney Shot was one of the few things that actually made us unique from ferals. Why should I continue to play a rogue when I could roll a druid and have so much more?

The change to Maim is probably a buff to the solo or BG druid. You won't be able to use it as well for chaining CC, so in that respect it's a nerf to Arenas.

CC definitely has a huge role in PvP, but being chained for too long with no reasonable ways to get out is not a fun way to play the game. You aren't making decisions. You are just dying and hoping you die slow enough for the rest of your team to somehow pull off something truly amazing. CC needs to be about checks and balances. It needs to be about using it at the right time and deciding when and how to break it.

Immediately burning someone down at the start of the fight while they are chain CC'd isn't a clever strategy that makes you a really good player. It is something we are trying to improve.
