Quest achievement count decreasing

For the last several weeks, my Seeker quest count has been 2990/3000. (I haven't bothered to go knock out the last ten quests because there are alts to be played, soloing on my priest is not fun, and I wouldn't wear the title anyhow. But it's on the way to Loremaster, so hey.) This earned me much teasing from the significant other.

Tonight, I noticed that the count was 2978/3000.

The gap itself doesn't really concern me -- still got all of Storm Peaks, Icecrown, half of Zul'drak to go, plus cooking dailies -- but I would like to know why the number suddenly dropped.

You might want to keep an eye on this, Farm.

Have you been questing in Northrend lately? There is a known issue with Northrend quests 'uncounting' themselves if you travel back to the old lands, but that is just a graphical glitch and fixes itself.

Also, some quests were moved about not that long ago as to which zone they count in, but that really shouldn't affect the overall count.

If this doesn't seem to right itself, you may want to write up a report for our bug - and/or the achievement forum.

Given you seem to have so many zones left to still do, this probably isn't going to be a functional issue for you - but something that should probably be looked at, if indeed it's not just a display issue.
