    Greetings all —

As this issue has progressed, we've been able to identify various issues that are affecting those experiencing this issue. While I do not have any specific information to share at this point, I would like to provide a few minor updates and information.

First, please remember that World of Warcraft accounts have a 50 character limit. If you have 50 characters on your account, you are receiving the error message "You already have the maximum..." appropriately. Please be sure of your character counts when looking into your issue; we've had a number of reports of this issue with 50 characters on them.

There have also been a number of comments regarding some new, arbitrary character limit on accounts. This is not the case, nor is it the cause of the issue being experienced.

Additionally, there have been questions about what steps you — our players — can take to alleviate this issue. Regrettably, this issue is needed to be addressed by us and as such can, and will, take some time to get to everyone. I ask for your continued patience as we work towards a resolution. As I mentioned previously, we will provide an update regarding the situation once we've been informed that everyone's issue should be resolved.

Hey all,

Just letting you know that you're not forgotten. =)

We believe that we may have found the issue, and are presently working to resolve it; it may take some time to resolve the issue for everyone affected.

Please continue to provide the requested information; thank you!

Hello everyone,

You have my apologies for my delayed response; I was awaiting additional information before I provided any additional responses. To reiterate: we are most certainly aware of the issue, and we have a method of resolving these issues available.

To expand on this, however, this resolution method must be done one at a time, with a delicate touch and as such it can take some time for us to resolve each and every issue that is brought to our attention. There are over 100 of you reporting issues with this in this thread, and we've received reports of the issue through other methods as well.

It is regrettable that we've not as of yet been able to correct the issue for everyone affected, but I can assure you that we are working on doing so. Please bear with us until we've confirmed that everyone's issue should be resolved.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Greetings, everyone!

As it has been some time since my last post, I just wanted to let all of you know that we are continuing to gather, and pass along the information that all of you have posted here. You have my sincerest apologies that these issues are taking some time to resolve for everyone, but I can assure you that we are working as quickly as we can.

I also wanted to mention that even if we don't happen to post here daily, it doesn't mean that we're not paying attention to the issue. Once we receive any additional information or specific updates regarding the resolution to the matter, we'll be sure to share.

To ensure that the information being provided to us is accurate, please do not repost your information. It makes it a bit difficult to track everyone's issue.

You are not forgotten, nor will you be. =)

Thank you all for your understanding and cooperation while we continue to address this issue.

Was a little open minded about this from the start, now though, it's a whole different story. Gnomes Better Watch Out.. Looks like we're in for a long haul here...

Not at all.

And for those that think this list isn't being processed, that's just not correct. Sent pages of this along myself.

We hope to see more progress on this globally very soon, but reports are still being put through on a case-by-case basis.

Greetings all —

It would appear that there is quite a bit of confusion regarding the issue at hand and as such I would like to clarify a few things for everyone.

First, just because we've not provided an update or posted every day it does not mean that we're ignoring this issue or unaware of the situation at hand. We are fully aware of the situation. Unfortunately, we do not necessarily have new information to provide every day and as such we want to make sure that the updates and information we do provide is new, and accurate. We try to avoid repetitious commentary where we can, as it can simply add to the confusion.

Second, we are working on a full resolution for everyone that is experiencing this issue; regrettably, it would appear that the issue is affecting our players in a few different ways — albeit with the same outcome — and as such we have to ensure that the steps we are taking to resolve the issue will stick, and work. Most of these steps must be done on an individual basis, but we also must work to correct the overlying issue.

It is truly regrettable that it has taken some time to resolve this issue in full; however, I have been informed that the alleviation of the overlying issue should be coming in the very near future. As that is the case, we can expect that anyone presently experiencing the issue should not encounter it again after we've alleviated their issue on an individual basis. It is possible that after the overlying issue has been resolved, we will need to continue resolving issues on a case by case basis until we've alleviated every issue that has been reported to us.

We will continue to work to correct this issue until all reported cases are resolved.

You have our sincerest apologies for the inconveniences and frustrations that this situation has caused. And, I thank you all for your patience and understanding while we continue to work towards a resolution.

Greetings all —

While I do not have any new information for you, I just wanted to let all of you know that we are continuing to work to resolve everyone's issue. We also appreciate those of you who are attempting to provide resolutions for your fellow players; please be aware that these resolutions may not necessarily resolve the issue completely, or permanently.

Regrettably, until the overlying issue is resolved — and as previously mentioned, it should be resolved in the very near future — it is possible for any temporary resolutions that are utilized to be rendered ineffective. Essentially, it is possible for the issue to resurface.

Many of you should have received an e-mail regarding our attempts to resolve your individual issue. Please make sure that you respond to the e-mail that was sent to let us know if it resolved the issue, or if you're still experiencing the inability to create new characters. This will assist us in fully resolving everyone's issue.

As a note, we will likely create a new thread regarding the matter once the overlying issue has been resolved; please keep an eye out for it as it will likely include some instructions on informing us if you're still experiencing the issue after that.
