[Bug] Thrym the Hope Ender

Please do not bump your post after only 4 minutes, Leyland. As your thread title suggests it would be better to post this in the Bug Report Forums.

However, I will see what I can find out but I may not have any information to convey to you.

Well it seems that you were just smashed by Thrym so I am assuming that this quest is working correctly for you now, Leyland?

I just finished it actually, but did so after following the example of a friend and fellow player. It's a good thing I wasn't waiting around for a solution from a paid employee of Blizzard, or I'd have been out in the wind. I'll think twice next time.

Leyland, we have no reported issues with the quest or mob so the only thing I could do in either case is refer to our Bug Report Forums so our Quality Assurance Department could look into your claims (which is what I did in my first post) or refer you to other players to provide advice in completing the quest as Game Masters are unable to provide game hints.

I stated I would see what information I could get regarding the issue when I noticed that you were fighting Thrym, thus negating your issue.

Please understand what the Game Master Department can and can not do, Leyland. I must remind you that the Game Masters on this forum are paid to moderate the forum and address what posts we can but that doesn't mean we will address each thread. Nor are we required to. In fact your thread should have been moved to the Bug Report Forums without being answered but I wanted to provide you with a little information if I could and let you know that I was looking into it.

Which was the point, as I said we have had no reports that there is an issue with this quest so if your issue was related to a bug the proper place to report such findings would be the Bug Report Forum.

Game Masters are unable to provide hints so I couldn't have provided the same assistance other players provided you.

I was willing to look into the issue though instead of just moving the post, a point which you seem to be missing. While I was looking into it I saw you astride Gymer and engage Thrym, and yes, get smashed by him as the number of mobs you had on you at the time and Gymer's current health indicated that you were not surviving the encounter.

I'm glad you were able to complete the quest though, Leyland, and confirmed that there was no issue with the actual quest.

I apologize for the miscommunication, my intent was never to make you feel insulted only to show that I was witnessing your encounter at the time (which indicated to me that you had found Thrym since he was beating on you when I was watching). :)
