...who actually still plays this game for fun, and not purely for gear and/or epeen?

You can't run a Heroic without getting gear or stat checked. You can't make a forum post without getting gear or Armory flamed. These forums, a lot of the time, don't seem to be full of anything other than elitists calling other people, "scrubs," for various reasons.

Are all of you people seriously so devoid of lives that you honestly don't play the game for any reason other than as a source of self-esteem? I at least try and play it for fun.

Many people play for fun. For example, I play so that I can get back at people for all the things they did to me in high school. I remember you jocks... with your towels! Oh, how I can't wait to get you in my party. You'll pay... oh yes... you ... will... pay...

We are paid to be shiny happy people holding hands. We gather around our cubes every night and sing coombiyah before we all hug and wish our moment with each other didn't have to end, ever. You know, like a normal job.
