Either the PTR process is beginning or it's not! Stop opening things up and then closing them again.

PTR copies up? Yep... oh wait, they're down and all copies have reverted
PTR copies up again?! Yep! Oh wait... they're down again and all copies have been reverted.

Wait, what's this, PTR forum flushed and general stickies made.. woo hoo! Getting close! Oh wait... forum has been deleted again.

Frustrating, really. Make up your minds!

It's a delicate process. We know some of you are watching very closely for any moves we make that may bring a sign of the PTRs coming up soon. All I can say is a lot of different processes are involved in bringing up these realms and patching the new content. We're excited to get them up as soon as possible though, and will let you know when that happens! ;D

the notes man! we crave the notes!

I've been staring at them for two days straight and my eyes are bleeding. You can have 'em...

Well, soon anyway. :)

Q u o t e:
So no PTR on my birthday?

This is almost my worst birthday ever.

Happy birthday, Rizzy. <3

What kind of information are you looking for? You wanna know when the PTRs are up right? Well what if Blizzard did give us a date that it will be out, and then something completely unexpected came up at the last minute causing the PTR release to be delayed. You'd be pretty disappointed, more so than you are now.

Oh come on. Be nice. Let a person attempt to fill an emotional chasm through the anonymity of the internet here and there!

Knowing that is beyond my pay grade. :p

In all seriousness people are going to stay up late without any word, better of saying if it's today or next week at the very least and give people a break.

Would it be more or less relieving if I told you we don't even know....?

Who are these powers that be?!

I really meant the royal "we." We push for certain times/dates, but it's all about getting the realms fired up and checked to ensure things are working properly, uploading a fairly large amount of new content onto the test servers, testing again to make sure things are running, internal testing, etc.

We have target dates, but everything gets pushed back until our check lists are completed. That's the process we're in right now.

Telling us it won't be up tonight is not telling us when it will be up.

It might not be up tonight. ^.^

    Close.

You could be saving a lot of people a great deal of time by being a bit more specific.

    :(

    Am I not being clear?

    Q u o t e:
Regardless of when the PTR does come alive, do you know if players that copied characters around 12:30 PST will have those characters available on the PTR when it goes live? Or are those once-pending copies wiped? And do you plan to wipe the currently existing pending-copies again before the PTR does go live?

I don't believe so. The last update I received noted that character copies are working and going through, but the queue is pretty jammed full right now.

    Q u o t e:
"It wont be up tonight" would be clearer
And likely allow me some sleep!

Well, my point in the last couple of post I've made is to say that I can't give a straight answer, not because I've been instructed not to, but because we don't have a definite ETA right now. The process to get them running is under way, and we're shooting to get them up asap.
