Bogus Heroic Leap removal reason

Q u o t e:
Quick positional movement of any kind is not a strength of most client – server based games. I will point out that it is typically the Charge glyph that causes most of the complaining because it adds just a little bit more distance.

Q u o t e:
Heroic Leap was interesting because it didn't require a target. Unfortunately, it also caused jumping through the world, cheating through walls, or getting stuck, none of which were worth whatever cool factor the talent would have brought.

So why not take out Blink? Obviously at times it has it's flaws but they are practically the same thing without the stun/damage. Not a great reason, GC.

Blink isn't targeted. And plenty of mages will tell you it still pushes the engine quite a bit (euphasim for: it can be buggy).

As I said in the original discussion, we didn't think warriors needed yet another version of Charge, Intercept or Intervene. The ability we replaced it with lacks the sexy graphics but is arguably a lot more useful than feral charge would be for warrios.

Posting here to avoid the inevitable "They locked threads about Heroic Leap!"

We change our minds sometimes, like about letting Charge work in combat for example. :)

In fact, one of the reasons we changed our minds about Heroic Leap (and Camo, and Trap Launcher) were so many players that were sad about seeing those abilities not make it in LK.
