So here's a little story we are all probably familair with, its a story of a loot ninja called <removed>, an undead mage on frostmourne. Yes, notice how i named the offender so that other players might also stear clear of running groups with him, as your hard earned loot will disapear along with a bull<removed> story about why you can't get the loot.

So I join an OS 20man raid, so we can get the acheivement, run goes smoothly, we down the boss and get the acheivements. The loot starts getting dished out and everyone rolls and gets according loot, thankfully, the token for t7 valorous gloves drops and is the only thing i can roll on, oddly the raid leader leaves the token rolls on that item till last, i roll a 99, im pretty stoked about now thinking sweet, thats a pretty good upgrade. The other people roll, and i am the clear winner. Then the following happens, everyone leaves the raid, very quickly, and i havent received loot. I ask my guild members why they left the group so quick and they tell me they were kicked. Gutted, i know whats coming, so the mage <removed>, just so you guys dont forget, then tells me i am not on the loot list in order to give the loot to, i tell him to stop pissing me around and to pass me the loot. After about five mins of arguing, he takes the loot and tells me im a f witt, and that he has opened a ticket to a gm and that he will get the loot transfered. It was convienent that the loot is also a mage item and that he actually needed it. And i was stupid enough to think blizzard could, and would actually help, but no.......

Crank out those ninja boots guys and girl's blizzards offical stand is the following,

"Thank you for contacting the World of Warcraft Game Master department regarding the loot issue you had experienced. Unfortunately, we are only able to accept petitions to transfer Bind on Pickup Items from the person who mistakenly possesses the item. We will be glad to investigate the matter once we are contacted by said character, so any assistance you can lend in forwarding this information to them would be appreciated. Please note, depending on a variety of factors; we may or may not be able to offer the requested item transfer between characters. If you contact the character that is holding the item, please inform them to not sell, destroy, or disenchant it as it could affect eligibility for the transfer request."

This is rubbish, what deterants are in place to stop ppl from continuing to do this. This ruins the gaming experience and exposes a shoddy loot system.

<removed> too, there is nothing constructive or helpful about the above reply. How and why on earth would a loot ninja, that took the loot on purpose to cheat others, ever, ever report this as a loot issue when they know this is the stand blizzard will take on the matter. If there are no consequences, not even any real investigation, whats to stop this from happening. With the increasing popularity to pug raid instances increases how often will the issue raise its ugly head?

Im so disapointed, and now, i have to wait another week, repug the instance, and hope i win the roll again. Depending on the class make up, and the fact i have 3 other classes rolling on the item, my chance may not come again this side of uldar.

And if i do win it, i have to pray the raid leader is honest.

Nice loot system blizzard.

I completely understand how frustrating this can be. This has indeed become a larger issue, with the much greater prevalence of 'pug' raids. That said, historically, we've interfered with looting issues as little as possible. We are currently examining this situation in search of solutions, but the matter is not nearly so simple as it may appear at first blush.

When a player has 'Master Looter', they are the final arbiters of where loot goes. Unfortunately, the best and most effective way to counteract this is to raid strictly with raid leaders you can trust.

If you'd like to see improvements to the looting system, that also will not interfere heavily with 'normal' raiding, please feel free to submit your ideas on our Suggestions forum.

I know this belongs in suggestions but well...you guys are much nicer over here. Suggestions is as bad as general sometimes.

Fortunately, our Development staff will review those threads and discount trolling and non-constructive responses from the player community anyway. That really is the best place for a suggestion of this nature.
