Colorblind option?

I just read some patch notes that someone posted on a forum that I frequent, and they said something about a Colorblind Option will be available in the UI.

As someone who plays this game, and is colorblind, this interests me. What exactly is it going to do? Or is it something outside of the actual player being colorblind?

Maybe I'll be able to kill the splits in the right order in Nexus!

The option can be accessed in the interface panel. There are no drastic changes such as changing the game to black and white, however we've tried to implement changes that make it easier to identify things such as item quality, if a mob is hostile or not, etc.

As I'm sure many have seen, we've changed things here and there in boss fights (in the past) to help those that may have problems identify colors with some other indicators where possible as well. This is just another thing we thought might be helpful. We'd love to see feedback from those of you that try out the new option.

Neth, is there any chance at having some of the herbs colors changed in this mode? I have the hardest time finding some herbs, even with tracking on >.<

<3 you guys for adding this option.

In what context? Do you mean on the mini-map?

On the ground is what I'm assuming the poster means. Sometimes even with sparkles, I can't see some herbs...but the sparkles have mostly solved that problem.

Although, more sparkly plant sparkles would be nice (I'll looking at YOU, sungrass!).

Understood. I'm not colorblind, but I can understand that sometimes herbs blend in a bit. We added the sparkles to help with this, but I can always forward your feedback in regard to this still causing some issue.

Not sure if it already does this, but in professions I have a hard time determining the "level" of the item. What I mean is the item I am crafting (or gathering) grey, green, yellow, orange or red. This applies to mobs as well, but that one is easier, because I can see their level and I know mine.

There is a new indicator that shows up to items that you will gain skill increases from and much like any other item, it will state if it's common, uncommon, etc.
