Account Bound Items

I figured this might be the best place to go, rather than putting a ticket in. My question is concerning account bound items.

I am looking into getting an account bound item sooner or later, so:

1. Can account bound items be mailed to another faction (e.g. from alliance to horde)?
2. Can account bound items be mailed or sent to a character on another server?

The reason I am asking this is because I have a Tauren Hunter that I play on another server and I was gonna look into sending that toon an "account bound" item.

Basically they are restricted in the same way any in-game mail is. You can only send mail to characters on your realm and of your own faction. So in this case you could only send the item to another character on your account that is on the same realm and of the same faction.

I should note that you can move the character with the item to another realm and transfer the item to your other character, but they'd need to be the same faction.

Take note of the enchantment restrictions as well.

They aren't for everyone but they are very beneficial depending on what your expectations are.
