So I am at I believe 59 pets (no Peddlefeet this year :( ) and am now at a bit of a loss of where to go next...I plan on farming the 4 whelplings and doing the fishing dailies constantly for a croc, but is there a way to get to 75 at this time that doesn't involve a) spending thousands of gold or b) buying blizz's stupid cards?
I also have NONE of the children's week pets (dunno what I was thinking the last couple years) so in 3 years I would have 6 more. O.o I don't wanna wait 3 years for a fawn hehe...any advice? Any list of pets that does not include TCG or unavailable pets? Appreciate it :D

Edit: forgot to mention that I have all Horde and Alliance pets, all Netherstorm pets, sporebat, phoenix, spirit of summer, wolpertinger, quest pets, and all four Oracles pets. Also the Olympic dragon and the 4th anniversary polar bear.

BoP pets made by Engineers so no point in mentioning them unless the OP is an Engineer.

I think it's worth mentioning actually because it simply presents more options on attaining this achievement. While dropping one profession for another is definitely costly and time consuming, if they really want to hit the 75 pets and are within 1, they know another place they can get them.

Edited as you can't get both engineering pets, just 1.

Can you even get the other branch of engineering?

Last I knew, there were issues swapping from from one to the other, and since the BoP pet recipes are only random from the mail you get after signing up for the membership (you can destroy the card and get a new one as soon as you get the mail wit hthe gift to "farm" it), and you have to be specialized to get the membership.

I thought you could if you dropped it and picked it up again, but I could be wrong as it's been awhile since I did engineering. If anything it is 1 more pet you can pickup if you really need it.

That said, my advice is to farm the whelplings... you really get ripped off in the AH now that achievements are in the game. Before, they weren't nearly as costly as they are now. I monitor the AH however, and I suggest you doing the same. You never know when you might get lucky and catch someone going low.

With the exception being a green whelpling, even if it costs a lot it's worth it imo.
