Any of the above links are more than acceptable ways to get around that issue, Therealfj. Alternatively, if you happen to have your Wrath of the Lich King disc nearby, you are more than welcome to offer that up, as it will install all content up to an including Wrath. Meaning they will get the vanilla WoW content, BC and Wrath all in one go – though they will only have access to the vanilla content until they upgrade. Either way, your friend should be just fine without that disc.
