"One time fee" huh. Heard all i need to hear. If it was gonna be a small payment i truly believe blizz would have made a point to make that clear. The fact that they were so vague and blizz's history, i have no doubt were looking at a 5k-15k "One Time Fee" to get duel spec.

I was all for the idea of duel spec. I really was. But something told me blizz was gonna find a way to turn a good thing into a disaster. Now don't get e wrong. I don't mind paying some gold to get the ability to duel spec and we all know if it's there, like it or hate it we are ALL gonna try to get it. And for blizz to make this into a total nitemare by adding a possible high cost to get duel spec, is not only ridiculous, But very very Aggravating/annoying!!!

Now I do realize they set no price atm. But like i said i know blizz, and i think we all know the price for this will be high. I am capable of making gold, and gold comes easier for some more than others. For various reasons. We have to pay bout 8k already to get all our mounts...fine i think the epic fly ability should be chopped a tad, but what ever ill deal and i should cost something cause it's a luxury to a degree. You only really need the non epic mounts. We have to pay for constant re gemming, chants, repairs, mats, whatvever. My point is duel spec will not end up being a Luxury, it will almost certainly become mandatory to obtain. Especially by those is raiding guilds. Especially by those who only have One high level toon and it happens to be a prot warrior, resto shaman, or holy priest. I am able to do ok with gold flow but it consumes alot of time between raids and farming/daily's/quests. There is only so much time in the day Blizz. Some of us have jobs, family's, friends, dogs ....A life, and we spend enough time farming gold as it is in this game blizz, we dont need to jump thru any more hoops blizz.

One Thousand Gold Blizz!!!! Maybe 2500 gold. Anything more is Insane and ridiculous Blizz!

I'm sure I cant be the only one who is almost certain this is gonna play out this way. So Let blizz know what you think. At least if we speak up now we have some kind of chance, as small as it may be.

Q u o t e:
From reading the interview about Dual Specs, it seems Blizzard wants the majority of their player base to have the system open to them. Keep in mind that 80% of their current player base are casuals who don't have 5k, 10k or 15k lying around, especially if they just bought or are planning to buy their epic flying skill.

1. A high cost cost doesn't cater to casuals. Blizzard is excited about this feature and wants it open to the majority of their player base.

2. In the interview, GC mentioned something about: if Dual Specs are popular we're considering opening it up to players less than level 80. 5k is ridiculous if you're less than 80, LOL.

3. A high initial cost totally defeats the purpose of having dual specs. For the hardcode player that respecs twice a day it would help in the long run, but for 80% of their players it would be useless.

I'm predicting it to be 50-100g, 500g tops.

Awesome post. I really couldn't have said it better. And we do want to inform our players about what the final cost will be, but that is still under discussion.
