You make it hard to bare with you, friend. I'm sure he's asking because he's considering leveling them and want's to get an idea of how they function at high levels.
To the OP, unfortunately, the only way you'd be able to test out a high level mage (or any character) is when we place a patch on the publc test realms and allow you the creation of premades.
