Hey Blizzard, NEWSFLASH: We dont like Arena

I would only comment that "we" cannot be used as universal in such a large community lest you expect us to act on hyperbole. You can probably find 22 pages of people who hate pizza. That doesn't mean the World of Warcraft community wants pizza erased from existence.

How about this, can you guys tell us if you've completely abandoned all other forms of PvP? While some might still like arena, MANY don't. And some of those many still absolutely love PvP otherwise.

Could you make BG rewards viable again? Could you encourage outdoor PvP of some kind? Could you perhaps add loot rewards to players who grand experience or honor? Could you add more battlegrounds? Could you offer oldschool AV?

Basically, does Blizzard have any real commitment to expanding PvP outside of Arena? Why do we have to be considered second class citizens to something that came along second, and for many, isn't enjoyable. In my case, because of the lack of room for versatility and creativity of playstyle arena fosters.

We definitely haven't abandoned other forms of PvP. There are many battleground features in development that we had discussed in generalities prior to the release of Wrath of the Lich King. At this point though we have no additional information to release. Some things discussed previously:

• Possible experience gains via PvP.
  
  
• An improved system for measuring skill in battlegrounds, which would lead to more-competitive honor rewards.
  
  
• Queue for battlegrounds from anywhere.
  
  
• A new battleground in Wrath of the Lich King.

We do.

My initial point was simply that it's not realistic to suggest that we should go to our superiors and say, "there's a 22 page thread asking that arenas be removed. We must oblige."

Instead, we're going to look for constructive feedback for or against arenas. We're going to look for insightful posts detailing how players envision arenas, and other forms of PvP, improving. We don't find such posts by looking through any thread titled something to the effect of "I speak for everyone that matters: we don't like aspect X of the game, remove please."
