I do not enjoy vehicles in LK

I've been a WOW subscriber on and off for 4 years. I enjoy LK, I enjoy raiding in LK. I am (was) looking forward to Ulduar.

I do not enjoy vehicle combat in LK. I did not choose to play as a 'seige tank' when I selected a character and a talent spec. The higher the % of vehicle combat in Ulduar, the less likely I will be to retain my subscription.

(Note to others: You might enjoy vehicle combat. Great! We like different things. I'm OK with this.)

We don't have any delusions and know that not EVERY SINGLE player will enjoy EVERY SINGLE aspect of the game, as much as that would be awesome, people have different opinions on what is fun for them and that's just how it works.

The vehicles were a new addition in Wrath of the Lich King, but we think it was a fun addition that a lot of players have enjoyed and really changed things up from what players came to expect based on the past. We will continue to fine tune and improve things and make them more fun (hopefully) for everybody.

Maybe give them more than 2-3 abilities?

Have you done Malygos at all? What did you think about that?

A lot of the vehicle combat is for some quests so we don't want to throw 8 abilities out there that you have to master for just 1 quest. At the same time more complexity can make things more enjoyable. We aim to learn from what was done and find a good balance on this that hopefully you can enjoy more.

1,1, <wait for 85 energy> 2, 1, 1, <wait for 85 energy> 2, etc...
If targeted I mash 5 instead of 2, resume DPS rotation afterward.

Awesome 3 button phase of mindlessness. So long as you remember the first rule of raiding and NOT stand in (or in this case hover in) bad stuff, you win. In short he's a loot pinata and that's a little sad since he is supposed to be an epic figure in WoW lore.

So instead of a drake I get to ride around in a tank and do stuff. I suppose I can deal with this so long as the dev team didn't put roots and stones and little doodads to hang me up all over the place. In a siege vehicle I can find anything on the ground capable of hanging me up without fail. (or maybe it is a lot of fail?)

We'll see how things play on the PTR, no sense getting upset about tanks yet. =)

Despite the simplicity of it, there are many people who struggle with the vehicle aspect of Malygos, balancing things is tough but we'll keep at it.

So the characters we build have useless abilities while we use the vehicle's? Breaking the class UI addons? Notsomuch.

The vehicles throw something different into the pot after using those same abilities for several years, a little change of pace can't hurt. Regarding UIs, well, hopefully they are fixed to not break, otherwise it's up to the player and what they choose to use.

The vehicles also won't be a huge part of the instance according to Daelo: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=15211802094&pageNo=6&sid=1#112

More information will come on Ulduar in due time, early judgments will be resisted. :)
