So, after reading this post from a GM

-While random is indeed random, the chance of Deathchanger's Reins dropping was increased with 3.0.2. This is the second time the drop rate has been increased, from the rather crazy 1 in 5000 WAY back in the day to the 1 in 100 it is now.

I was all pumped to run Strat to get the mount on my toon.

I ran Strat 100 times......and nothing. Does WoW hate me? Ive seen people on my server with their mount from only running Strat 10 times. I think its BS if you ask me. Wasting my time in hopes that I can have a horde mount on alliance :(

I contacted a GM and he didn't even talk to me :(

I hate my life.

The fact that the drop rate on the Baron's mount is 1/100 doesn't mean you're guaranteed to get one if you fight him 100 times. Each kill is independent of the last kill. You'll just have to keep trying, I'm afraid.

First, that's our lead encounter designer. Second, he's providing correct information. He's offering the new drop rate of the mount, which is approximately 1%. He isn't indicating a guarantee of when the mount will drop.
