Goooooood Morning CSF!

From our Breaking News and Service Status forum

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=14910372517&sid=1

We will be performing rolling restarts on all U.S. realms beginning at 5:00AM PST, February 5. Additionally, we will be performing rolling restarts on all Oceanic realms beginning at 12:00PM PST, February 5. We anticipate that each realm will be down for no more than 15 minutes. The overall process will last approximately 1 hour.

At the moment we are having these realms looked into folks, thank you for your patience.

Darrowmere
Eldre'Thalas
Exodar
Kalecgos
Stonemaul

If you are having trouble connecting any any realm (that is back up) besides these, please post here.

They never take realms offline without having a very good reason, Stalker.

This morning I don't happen to be privy to what that reason was :)

Q u o t e:
Exodar is down huh?

Awesome! Gives me a chance to go outside and check out that big glowing ball in the sky! I forget what its called though...

Indeed, of that original list above, Exodar seems to be the only one yet unresolved. The rest should be good.

Update:

Exodar is still being looked at.

A few realms that are up, are having instance issues, that is being looked into as well.

Just letting you know Orlyia - there's currently no NPC's of any kind in Outland or Northrend on Blackrock. Could you get this looked into?
Cheers

Outland seems ok with NPCs now, but Northrend we are looking at.

Exodar should now be accessible.

A very few realms are still having instance issues and are being looked at. That would be world server down messages, or unable to pull up your character list after connecting to a realm.

I'm goign to say both..... any 1st level tech support starts out with a restart.

Programming changes often require restarting.

Yes to both! It is sometimes necessary to employ rolling restarts to apply hotfixes as well. Unfortunately, we're not in a position to report on all the specific reasons regarding why they're necessary, nor would that knowledge affect the necessity of the action.

I do apologize if this proves inconvenient though =(.

These restarts are still occurring though, and once your individual realms are finished, hopefully you'll find that you can play much more smoothly

<3 Thanks for the update kitty!

No worries =).

Lai? Man? Cut it out, youse guys. There's no need to snipe at one another. I appreciate the forbearance of those that are patient, and I understand why those that posting their concerns might be frustrated.

There's room for both opinions in a thread of this nature, as long as the postings refrain from belligerence or trolling and abide by our forum code of conduct:

By the way, guys, you can also track these issues via the following pages:

Additionally, while it's not necessarily desirable, if a rolling restart doesn't resolve a particular issue, it may be necessary to restart the realm again. You can be certain that we're keeping a sharp eye on everything that's occurring right now, and I once again extend my apologies to all that are affected.

We'll do our utmost to get you all back into the game as swiftly and smoothly as possible.

Hey guys,

The appropriate parties are aware of persistent issues that might be occuring after the recent restarts for certain realms.

They are investigating as we speak.

Okay guys, the rolling restarts should be complete now, though it is possible that all realms aren't available quite yet.

Nonetheless, if you're still experiencing any issues, such as those recently described by players from Frostmane, please make a post with the following information, so I can help make sure that the appropriate parties have accurate information quickly and efficiently:

Realm:
Character:

Issue: (e.g. stuck at authenticating, unable to access character list, etc.)

Okay, guys.

Some steps are being taken to resolve log in issues for several realms currently. Hopefully these will enable many of you to log in appropriately after they are complete!

"Rolling restarts have concluded and the majority of realms are again online and accepting players. We are continuing to work on Shu'halo, Aggramar, Bleeding Hollow, Blackhand and Ghostlands and hope to have them back up as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience. "

Just incase anyone want to know.

Quoting for clicky.

This is indeed the case, and we're still working to restore appropriate access to these realms.

Please don't bump a thread from early February.

It's confusing as to what your issue is, and will likely cause it to be lost.

Please feel free to create a new thread if you've not already done so.
