Burst reduction? Back to unkillable healers?

I am dismayed that short term thinking is overwhelming long term results. Flat reductions in DPS at this point in the game *will* result in unbalanced fights when gear levels increase, and health outscales DPS. When you add in reductions to DPS, it will be back to the same old BORING game... melee will always win because high health and healing classes can absorb any burst at high gear levels. BORING and UNFUN.

I have asked this question before, and I ask it again. Should a single healer be killable by a single DPSer? My feeling is yes, they should be. It should not be a guaranteed kill, but it should be possible (50/50 chance would be ideal). Please, lets not nerf DPS to the point that a healer cannot be killed...
