I just want to warn everyone - you can get banned with no previous warnings if you sell "too much" stuff on AH. Quality, in-depth review by account admin will find you are "exploiting".

Below is my letter to AA:

Account Action: Closure
Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation - Economy Exploitation

After a thorough investigation, we have found that a player of the account listed above participated in activities designed to gain an unfair advantage in the World of Warcraft economy. You may not perform any acts that we consider to be damaging to World of Warcraft. A stable economy is essential for any realm to be successful. Any attempts to manipulate the economy in exploitive ways can have a large negative impact on many players.

I don't understand - at all
I pve and pvp on my main character (Warrant - Korgath) daily, he is equipped in the best raid gear, I'm in an active guild. I sell on AH enchanting materials that I disenchanted personally and herbs, for normal prices, and these are *collected*, ie not bought up from auction house then re-listed at artificially high prices, not "manipulated" in any way. I have about 50,000 gold now, with nothing to spend it on.

I HAVE NEVER GIVEN ANYONE GOLD, MAILED GOLD, OR TRANSFERED GOLD IN ANYWAY (for real cash, for example).
I HAVE NEVER MADE GOLD VIA ANY "MANIPULATION OF ECONOMY", 100% OF MATERIALS SOLD ARE MANUALLY GATHERED FROM FLOWERS AND MOBS KILLED.
I DONT RECALL ANY PREVIOUS WARNINGS ABOUT ANY ECONOMY ISSUE.

The materials I sell come mostly from my room-mate, who plays from my house and internet connection. He could sell it himself, but I've been doing it for both of us since I have the auction addons set up. every so often we give each other money depending on who needs it.

This is a very old account with many high-level characters and 100s days played. Can you please reconsider. Since I know exactly how I made the gold I have and where this gold comes and goes, IT'S STILL NOT AT ALL CLEAR TO ME WHICH RULE I BROKE OR WHAT I EXPLOITED AND HOW ON EARTH I WAS SUPPOSED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS RULE. However if making 50,000 gold from selling stuff over several months is bannable I PROMISE TO NEVER *EVER* SELL ANYTHING AGAIN, SERIOUSLY. I don't even need this gold, and I'm sure if you take the time to go over logs you'll see nothing funny was going on with my gold. In fact take it all, it won't affect me at all, there is nothing for me to buy.

PART 2
----------------------------------------------------------
I want to add, since I just found some rules:

OK. PLEASE GO OVER LOGS AND RECORDS. NOT ONE COPPER HAS *EVER* LEFT THE SERVER OR BEEN GIVEN TO ANYONE BUT MY ROOM-MATE. NO GOLD BOUGHT, NO GOLD SOLD. NO MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF STUFF DUMPED OR BOUGHT ON AUCTION HOUSE AT ONCE. I NEVER DID ANY OF THE FORBIDDEN THINGS ABOVE, AND ONLY 3 & 4 FROM THE ALLOWED ACTIONS (NOT EVEN BUY LOW / SELL HIGH).

I play a lot in Naxxarams and other raiding, my friend (sits next to me, same IP, same internet connection) kills mobs in Storm Peaks and gathers flowers, along with a bit of raiding and pvp.

I SUSPECT I GOT CAUGHT UP IN SOME KIND OF AUTOMATED SWEEP FOR REAL GOLD-SELLERS, MAYBE SINCE I REALLY DO SELL A LOT (relatively) OF STUFF ON AH. But that was a 100% error, and I pray you re-check everything, and if you have any questions please write back. No matter what you are thinking I just can't imagine a PERMANENT CLOSURE of a 3 year acct with 100s day played over this, how about a warning? I don't even care about the details, you don't want me to sell stuff - I wont. I just want to raid with my guild.

Q u o t e:
Some examples:
1. Buying gold with real world money (or other real world value).
2. Selling gold for real world money (or other real world value).
3. Paying for a powerleveling service.
4. Advertising in game for those types of services.
5. Being a middleman for transfer of bought gold.
6. Farming stuff for the purpose of "stocking up" the gold sellers supplies.
(the stereotypical "Chinese Gold Farmer", even though not all of them are in China)
7. Paying real world money for any in-game service (instance runs, etc).
8. Providing any in-game service for real world payment.
9. Taking over (hacking) someone else's account and taking their valuables for transfer to the gold seller's stockpile.

Things that are NOT a violation of the ToU (as long as they are not in support of the things listed above):
1. Buying low and selling high in the auction house.
2. Buying out all of one item and re-listing them all for a high price in the auction house.
3. Spending lots of time (hours, days) in one small area, killing mobs for their drops and such.
4. Giving another character (your's or someone else's) any amount of gold or items.
5. "Sniping" the auction house (looking for high value items listed for a low price, and buying them)
6. Charging or paying in-game gold for an in-game service (instance runs, etc)
7. You playing on your account from anywhere in the world.
8. Dual or multi-boxing multiple characters.
9.Using a high level character to run a low level character through an instance.

Words can't express how upsetting this all has been. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT CUSTOMER CARE FOR YOU MOST LOYAL PLAYERS
