MT vs OT ... common courtesy

Myself and a warrior are the 2 main tanks for our guild. We don't have a specified MT or OT.. we decide each fight who does what based on our personal strengths. But last week when our tank was out sick we brought in a pally to help us through nax. Thing is.. the second he finished his mobs (usually had him assigned to SKULL mainly to make him feel welcome) he would taunt mine off me.

Now I haven't been tanking that long but I'm good at it... and I felt offended, as if he thinks I can't handle my mobs. I found myself then taunting them back... only to have him taunt them right back... This created some tension and, although I just rolled with it, I am really starting to wonder if this is "normal" behavior.

I'm guessing he is his guilds MT so he decided he would be the "main tank" of our run and I would just be there in the interim to get the mobs warmed up for him...

I'm asking the veteran tanks out there who have been doing this longer than me...is this normal tanking strategy or was he just bein a %$@&??

It does sound like a frustrating situation, but when you find someone who wants to do all the work, just setup a follow macro... >_>

Quit hiding behind your alt and post on your main so we can make fun of your armory >:(

Alts can tank too though! And like I said, this can be frustrating when it happens, but at the same time I try be pretty relaxed and let things work themselves out - I also don't mind communicating if I feel the issue is important enough to require such a thing. Whatever gets the job done.

Oh and my armory is better than your armory, so there. :-o
