Unaware of the new numbers system for arena, my partner and I tried out new specs for fun, We got well out of hand and destroyed our rating. (Keep in mind this could be a team who has bad luck or just can't seem to get PvP right, or maybe new players to 80 who just can't seem to win). in my case we were just having fun losing and got carried away. Now when we purchased a new team we find we are stuck losing 25 points and winning 3-5, i find it will only bring us back down to where we stood only to fight our way back up a rediculous ladder where if we corrected mistakes and reformed as a bad team we would progress as usual.

For those new players who find themselves failing in arena even when they posses new gear it will be a rather tough fight to get back up and if no changes are made i find that will be my only choice. losing 25 points and winning only 5 it would take a whole mess of wins to fix I think while staying in somewhat the same region. I find that many players at the lower ratings however are not of poor skill just had bad luck to start and are stuck and most likely even moreso now that the invisible numbers exist. This makes me almost not want to play arena, with luck a gm can fix this but otherwise it's a rather tiresome issue.

Overall the penalty seems a bit too cutthroat is all, PvP vs PvE? It seems as though a person can gain better gear and become better at PvE but in PvP the change in gear won't help for progression as all around u are progressing in a likewise manner. skillwise you will always be faced with the dilema until you are an elite pvp player which should be reserved for those 2000

Edit: By giving it thought it makes sense keep the high rated players high and far away from lowbies. but this keep lowbies low period. make 1500 a reset point, if you start a new team u start at 1500 but if you are above 1500 you keep ur invis number, something of the sort...

These new invisible ratings are dangerous for those in the poor numbers. In my case bad timing, Any thoughts GC?

I haven't been addressing questions or issues with the new Arena matchmaking system because we want to keep these role forums focused on the classes themselves. We have made posts on the topic in the PvP forums and elsewhere.
