Test Realm

Ok I will start with i have never put anything on the test realm. But I have a few questions about it and how Blizzard decides to do things.

First is the test realm only for checking for stability and game play bugs?
Second if the first answer is "no" but also for in game balance. Do you belive that Blizzard is actualy getting the proper amount of balance out of the test realms?

The reason I bring this up is I am curious about the logic of class changes/balancing due in 3.1. It seems to me that class changes might not get nearly the amount of testing on the PTR it needs. Which lead to adjustments(nerfs sometimes) in a short period of time.

Would it not make more sense to have class adjustments pre 3.1(new raid). Allowing for them to adjust when the raid content drops. I know this still wouldn't make everyone happy. It would give the developers some time to see how the new class changes work under the mass population.

You're suggesting that we put a huge number of class changes that haven't been tested on live realms. That would very likely be a recipe for disaster. It's a very important part of the development process that we test major changes the on the public test realms.
