PTR Realm Maintenance - 10/2/14

Greetings All!

The PTR realms will be shutting down for maintenance in a few minutes in order to deploy a new build. I'll be updating this thread with information and time estimates as I receive them. I don't have an exact ETA yet, but these pushes usually take around 8 hours, give or take a few.

I'll be leaving this thread open for general discussion as long as people remain civil and follow forum rules.

We're still investigating into the Character Copy issue that has prevented copies from functioning on PTR realms.

It's not fair for the other people who don't need Character copy. Just take it out of the game and leave it online so that we can actually play without dumb maitnance

New Build Deployments (and the downtime/maintenance associated with them) are entirely unrelated to the Character Copy issue.

We're still working to get a PTR build out to you folks, thanks for remaining patient.

When you load up the Battle.net App, what version does it say you're patched up to?

The realms are running 18973, which is the build your Battle.net App should update you to.

Ah sorry, long day. It should say 18983.

When you launch the WoW Client, what does it say in the bottom left corner of the screen? Does that number match the number in the Battle.net app?

I can't log on the ptr servers, it says Incompatible. Version 18983 on game and launcher, using windows 8.

Those are the Beta Realms, which are running a different build (so it makes sense they're red).

Can you make sure you're logging in with your PTR License, and not your Beta license? (Maybe like Wow2 instead of Wow3)?
