I just am a little puzzled about something I've run across. I have been testing the viability in Demo for raids since we do not have an elemental shaman. I'm working on doing a write up for our guild forums but have run into a problem with calculating Demonic Pact.
Demonic Pact Rank 5
Your pet's criticals apply the Demonic Pact effect to your party or raid members. Demonic Pact increases spell power by 10% of your Spell Damage for 12 sec. Does not work on Enslaved demons.
Now I know this does not stack with Flametongue totem, Totem of Wrath, and Imp. Divine spirit. To be on the safe side I decided to log into WoW and do a quick test to make sure everything else stacks properly.
Currently with Fel Armor on and a Felguard out (no other buffs), I am sitting at 2517 spellpower. According to Demonic Pact tooltip, I should give a raid-wide buff of 251.7 spellpower every time my Felguard crits.
Wrong. When my Felguard is crits, Demonic Pact procs and my spellpower goes up to 2751 or a +234 increase.
To try to find out the cause of this, I took off Fel Armor which brings be down to 2110 spellpower. Re-tested and Demonic Pact gave 211 spellpower which is right on target. The next question was, is it the spirit -> spellpower component or the base spellpower from Fel Armor which is not stacking with Demonic Pact?
Fel Armor gives a base of +234 spellpower (talented). 2110 + 234 = 2344
2344 / 10 = 234
This means the spirit -> spellpower portion of Fel Armor is not functioning correctly with Demonic Pact. I was wondering if you could confirm that this is a bug? I do not think this could possibly be working as intended.
In a raid setting I am at 616 spirit which converts to --> 240.24 spellpower with Fel Armor component. 240 spellpower not getting counted towards Demonic Pact seems like a bug.
