In TBC the blame was placed rather fairly, with bias not to piss the healers off.
Now it seems EVERYTHING is the tanks fault.
What the hell?
I went into Heroic AN. While i'm explaining the 3 wave fight, some ass mage goes and pulls a group while i'm not ready. I wait for him to die and then get the mobs and let him get brezzed. It goes fine until after the fight.
Mage: Are you a !%@@ing newb?
Me: What?
Mage: You should learn to play your class before you go into heroics douchebag.
Me: Gtfo.
Mage: *gets kicked*
Mage: (Whisper) Only newbs lose aggro. Just stfu you newb.
Everyone else leaves because they don't think I'm a good tank.
WTF is this?
I go again another day. I get webbed for 10 seconds and no one breaks the web. In that time everyone else dies. I get kicked cuz I can't hold aggro.
Every single goddamn problem in every instance seems to be the tanks fault. The healer has less than 1k SP? The tank needs better gear. The DPS can't deal enough damage and so the healer goes OOM? The tank needs to take less damage. What the hell?
And the DPS is getting terrible. I go into dungeons and specifically tell everyone a kill order, and not to use aoe because the mobs heal (Heroic Nexus), and instead to burn down the skull fast and then the X. Fight starts and the skull goes down last, because one person aoes and the others attack the wrong target. Of course, the rogue attacking the wrong target pulls aggro because I didn't bother taunting off such a retard. The healer then asks me why I'm not keeping aggro. I tell him that they are attacking the wrong targets. The healer then proceeds to tell me I should learn to keep aggro please and then kicks me.
And its not just that. Dps in greens and a couple blues that do under a thousand damage are TELLING ME IM UNDERGEARED BECAUSE I ONLY HAVE HALF EPICS.
Since when is it the tanks job to compensate for everyone else sucking? Because thats what every dungeon seems to be: get an overgeared tank and bring newbs to fill in the last spots, and the tanks who want to gear can't get groups because the dps suck too hard.
It is not the tanks job to compensate because you all suck.
It is not the tanks fault you can't do enough damage.
It is not the tanks fault you can't attack the right target.
It is not the tanks fault you attacked the mob while he was LoSing it.
It is not the tanks fault you aoed before he had used Tclap or Shockwave.
It is not the tanks fault that when you said you were ready you were actually not.
It is not the tanks fault you can't move out of black spots on the floor.
It is not the tanks fault you like to taunt off him.
It is not the tanks fault that you can't move out of a lightning nova that gives you more than a second to auto run.
It is not the tanks fault that in UP you can't keep up with him running to the end when he explicitly told you he would do so.
It is not the tanks fault that you can't follow his instructions.
It is your fault.
