Heh. No, we have just been busy trying to track down some bugs and getting 3.0.8 deployed. Things should quiet down soon.

I've been doing game design long enough to have a pretty thick carapace. While it's unfortunate to have negativity crop up in the forums, to some extent it's also inevitable and I don't let it get to me.

These forums can be so negative at times that the occasional silly or offtopic post can help lighten the mood. We don't stomp down on all of them so long as they don't get out of control.

In my mind, a player scanning the topics isn't going to expect too much in the way of game info out this thread. They can just skip over it.

On the other hand, if they see a 12 page thread on their class and end up reading 12 pages of junk they might conclude there is nothing of interest to them in these forums and not return. That is when we try and step in and lock overly negative posts that are just complaining about Blizzard or our design decisions without contributing anything else.
