9/15 Back-end Maintenance

Hi Folks,

Our Beta realms came down this morning in order for us to do some maintenance on some back-end processes and hardware. We're not pushing a new build at this time.

Current ETA for realms coming up is 3pm PDT (3 hours from now).

Sorry for the short notice, this one sneaked up on me.

I thoroughly enjoyed the discussion of sneaked vs snuck. Funny how the little things can set off a series of debates.

Let me guess Zorbrix. It might be 15 to 20 minutes and some systems may go off and on while you are gone getting something salty.

Yeah you know, just debugging the phone lines and other systems. Pretty standard.

It was a joking reference about Jurassic Park - sorry to confuse some folks.

Maintenance continues as we approach 3 pm PDT - trying to find out if that's still an accurate ETA or if we have a new ETA.

That reminds me of a minor but interesting bug report we got a week or two ago, pointing out that we used the phrase "bunkered down" in a quest, as opposed to "hunkered down". That one got a bit heated. And then to bother me my Lead kept telling us to "bunker down" just to rub it in.

Realms should be coming up soon.

Oh crap, I said soon instead of shortly. Hope I didn't jinx it.

Let's not start this please. No need to take out frustrations on the tables. Realms should be up in 15-30 minutes.

Servers are coming back up but we may need to restart them to pick up a hotfix.
