I had a friend in my guild at 70 that went to Blizzcon and was able to talk to the Dev's on one of the Q/A day. I posted this back when it was said. But now looking at it. It's absolutely hilarious...
Blizzard saw this coming back at blizzcon when people asked the question, "What do you plan for the pure DPS classes role to be in a dungeon environment when they can bring nothing else to the table other than their damage, when they're competing for a raid position against hybrids who bring the same damage throughput, and other cornerstone, raid-making abilities"
You know what they said..."That's a totally valid concern. we knew going into this, that making the hybrids more viable we took some of the hybrids buffs away which is threatening to some classes. we're trying to buff their utility so they are bringing something and we can't allow their damage to fall down so they can still compete. its important that those four classes are still doing a lot of damage as long as they're not doing 30-40% more damage than everyone else. the best mage or rogue should be at the top of the meter. it shouldn't be just the class. "
I think what they meant to say was " The best geared facerolling DK and over-tuned BM hunters should be at the top of the meter, and it will be because their classes aren't balanced. You will see the rest of the scrub rogues with their craptastic DPS and bugged out poisons in the middle somewhere behind the feral tank and demonology warlocks."
You have no idea how frustrating this is...all I can do is damage. And I can't even do that successfully with a perfect rotation. Why try anymore? Why even try?
