No PTR account.

I seem to not have a PTR account listed in my account management. Is this because I'm in the beta? That would suck if so because I'd like to get on the PTR with some friends.

Troubleshooting Steps to create a PTR account:

Login to https://us.battle.net/account/management/
Click on your main, retail account.
Click the additional services tab at the bottom, and select Public Test Realm.
You'll get a message about PTR Character Copy is in Maintenance.
Click History/Status
Log out of the Battle.net Account Management website, and re-launch your Battle.net App.

This should force a WoW PTR game account license onto your Battle.net account. If it doesn't, let me know.

Potential Additional Troubleshooting step: Next to the History/Status tab in Account Management, Click the Download PTR Client tab, and then click on the Installer for Public Test Realm. This should just re-launch your Battle.net client, but it may be what you need to get it to show up there.

Hi Zorbrix! It isn't working for me either. I wasn't able to char copy, but I downloaded the PTR client. I got in fine- watched the intro and went to log in, and it doesn't recognize my username or password. I followed your instructions, but now I only have the MoP PTR, not WoD. Do I have to create a copy before I can log in?

PTR: Mists of Pandaria is the correct Region/Account to use in the Battle.net App.

Character Copy isn't working yet on the PTR.
