I realize that you can't "do" anything with the points you earn from achieving something, but doesn't it seem strange that certain achievements that take a considerable amount of time (i.e., Loremaster of Kalimdor) are given the same amount of points that, let's say, getting your hair cut or falling 65 yards without dying does?
