Vault of Arch exploit

Hypothetically: You feel like being a douche. maybe there are a bunch of people on your server you don't like, maybe you want to be a jerk for kicks and giggles, whatever. It's Tuesday afternoon and you have already done a heroic vault run. You can start a raid group and fill it up with people you don't like or people you just feel like messing with or just random people. As soon as they enter the raid you are saved to they become saved.

Or maybe you just do it on accident. Same outcome either way.

Tada! 24 people just lost out on their chance for valorous t7, pvp epics, and emblems of valor.

I only bring this up because it happened to me. Joined a group, it fell apart when raid leader couldnt get in and people started bailing, and then I tried to go with a couple guildies later. I got saved even though I didnt take part in a single kill, trash or otherwise, and would have been the only Lock when my pants finally dropped. GM said there was nothing they could do and that I would just have to be more careful about who is leading raids I've joined but unless you know every single person on the server there is no way you can vouch for someone's reputation every single time. I'm not gonna do a background check before pugging into a raid my guild doesn't schedule time to run.

Just wondering if this is a known issue and if there is anything on the drawing board about fixing this. I don't know if it works for other raids/instances but I certainly am not willing to find out personally. Maybe the same thing that keeps you from entering low lvl dungeons while heroic is turned on, or the level cap is not met, or something can be extended to keep people from entering a raid to which the leader is saved. Just a thought because the potential for screwing over large numbers of people is waaaaaay to easy here.

While this is true, it's an activity I'd strongly recommend against.

Q u o t e:
Is there any way other than out of necessity from people exploiting it to catalyze getting this fixed?

I'd post over on our Suggestion Forum for our developers to consider any alternatives you might have in mind. Just a tip, if you have friends/guildmates that would like to support your cause, get them to add their viewpoint in on your same thread.

Literally hundreds of changes in both gameplay and policy have germinated in that forum over the years. It is closely monitored by our developers and policy makers. You won't see a response, but it is read. There is a sticky at the top of the forum explaining why they cannot respond to posts.
