Upgrading trial account problems

Hi there, I decided over Christmas to download a trial of WoW, and having played for a few days want to upgrade it.

Unfortunately I must have downloaded from the US site and created a US account (I live in the UK) and now I cant upgrade it as it wont accept my UK bank card details. Clearly the US / UK accounts are separate as my log in details dont work on the WoW-europe website

Does anyone know how I can get around this problem? Is it possible to transfer from a US to a Europe account? I dont want to lose my meagre 10 levels as I dont have that much free time

Is your Bank card associated with a credit card company by any chance? Though we do accept Debit Cards, they need be sponsored (I suppose that's the right term) by one of the following:

If not, this may be why your method of payment is encountering an error. It's also possible that some other element of your card is incompatible with our online upgrade system. Online transactions are always a delicate process.

You may wish to explore other options for upgrade, Wheresmycow: PayPal, a boxed copy purchase...or even calling our Billing department during open office hours. Our representatives are quite friendly and would be happy to help; and, while they're not in today, they will be again come Monday morning. :)

Security levels may often vary between different online transaction types, Volodesi. I would recommend trying another card (if you've one available) first; should this not be an option, or should you encounter the same difficulty, please give our Billing & Account Services department a ring at your earliest convenience.

In order to access our US-specific realms, you'll need to have the US version of the game installed.

With that said, if you are able to upgrade your US account to a full, classic version, Wheresmycow, you'll actually be able to use the following link to download all software related to the client:

As you upgrade your account further (to TBC and Wrath perhaps), additional downloads will become available.

If you're not seeing any available options there right now, though, try this link:

Out of curiosity: As you've noted that your account was compromised, Hinako, have you ensured that your registered address (home address) is still accurate?

With that said, should you continue to experience difficulty upgrading to Wrath of the Lich King, Hinako, please do contact our Billing & Account Services staff. :)

Such a service, I fear, is not presently available, Wheresmycow. Characters created on various sides of the client pond may not cross over. :)
