Q u o t e:
When we make changes, we prefer to make enough changes to actually fix the problem so we can move on. There are a lot of different aspects of the game we want to touch so we'd rather not still be dealing with hunter dps imabalance months from now.

Q u o t e:
We're not concerned about scaling at higher gear levels because we are changing hunter damage enough for 3.1 that we will have to rebalance them anyway

Q u o t e:
If we nerf hunters too much, we will fix them in later patches. But we can't be so terrified of making mistakes that we don't make changes when we think they are warranted.

The first quote is a key portion to your response to Hunters requesting the proposed nerfs be done in stages, posted here: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=13392279749&sid=1

The second quote is from a more recent post, bringing your attention again to the same major imbalance that many hunters are seeing between BM and MM/SV here: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=14132916810&sid=1

Third quote is from another recent post: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=14133217732&pageNo=1&sid=1#4

You are contradicting yourself. In one statement, you say you want to fix the imbalance so you don't have to come back months from now. Then a short while later, you state that you are ALREADY PLANNING ON COMING BACK A FEW MONTHS LATER. Is it just good job security, making more work for yourself? Break Beastmastery tree so you can come back and fix it months later? Seriously.

I have made a thorough, well-developed list of alternative changes with LONG term balance in mind, that is also progressive. You have clearly stated that you do not want to have to come back to the "hunter DPS imbalance" months from now, but with the current proposed nerfs, you will have to do just that - to reverse some of the very changes you have put into effect because Hunter DPS (esp. BM) will have scaled back too far.

You've stated you don't like responding to posts, because it tends to attract unwanted comments from random people wanting to have their problems looked at too. However, this is really something that needs attention.

Read my post. Respond here if you don't want the bad attention on the "good" thread. But as it stands, with the serious deficiencies in nerfing base talents instead of focusing on what is actually causing the extreme hunter DPS imbalance (pets being buffed by party overpowers them, Call of the Wild stacking, Readiness/BW cooldown) is going to completely be overkill on DPS reduction.

Read the following thread. Come back with some good answers on it.

I have answered this a couple of times now. Please read other threads before you get angry at me for not answering the question. Yes, hundreds of questions are going to go unanswered. Blue posters are not going to respond to every thread.

To repeat, I did not say we will nerf you now and buff you later. I said we are going to nerf hunters now because we think they need it. Scaling, which is sometimes a valid concern, is not a valid concern in this case because we are going to change the numbers before anyone can acquire gear higher than a 226 item level. We are not changing the numbers to buff or nerf hunters at that point. We are changing them for entirely different reasons which we hope to be able to talk about once we have had a chance to iterate on them some more.

I know you are antsy about your class. Anyone would be. I get that. But for purposes of this forum, you need to stick to discussing the actual class spells and abilities and not challenging our design philosophy or processes. Look at the game, not how we make games.
