I'm a potty mouth, now get over it!

Last night I ran an instance with 3 guildies and a stranger. This guy had abysmal gear, and kept saying "Oh can I need that?" on every single non-caster blue/green BoE and BoP that dropped. After a while, I caught on to his game, when he rolled need on a neck with +11 agil / +20 atp that was a BoE, then equipped it, and several pulls later, had his old +20 str / +10 stam neck on. I checked his other gear, his gun was the same weaker gun, and etc.

He was using lower gear on purpose to get more items. So we told him to stop needing BoE's and only need BoE's if he would equip them. We told him to pass on the BoP's he didn't need, and we would DE the item and /roll on the shards.

At the end (this is a hunter mind you) a caster ring with int/spell hit rating and a platemail leg piece dropped from the last boss. We all passed, and our DE rolled need. He said "Screw you suckers!" and needed and instance hopped.

ninja looters happen.
Did I mention how he didn't bring enough ammo and ran out 1/2 way thru, had no pet food, and left aspect on the pack on during a pull?

Anyway... the issue starts here. When we go outside, I tell my friends to meet me somewhere, and I run there. He shows up and starts calling me a noob, and trying to mock our guild looting rules etc. Having heard enough of this losers mouth, I told him nice and good. Called him some things I obviously can't repeat here, and told him to do things you'd never tell your mom to do. His next words? "Reported."

Now I disregarded this, obviously a GM would not take action on me for being pushed into a corner, or being provoked into bursting out. Obviously I was wrong. I went to sleep, and woke up this morning to find an email saying I now have a warning on my account for rude language, because I sent a whisper to someone telling them to blank off.

Now when I found out about this, I felt really abused and I called a GM, and several arguments later, we came to this conclusion together:

"Ninja Looting can happen, and GM's do nothing about it. The reason is because there is a loot system in place to prevent ninja looting from happening. Language can get you banned though, because although we have a profanity filter which can be used by anyone who finds language offensive, and an ignore feature so anyone who is being harassed can simply type /ignore.... we like to use a double standard, and you can get in trouble for it."

That seem fair to anyone? You can ninja loot, and harass them, but the second you curse them, you get a warning.

This is the most blasphemous thing I've seen in a long time, and I really feel like blizzard is harassing me because i like to use language they don't like. If I want to type or talk the way I want, then I think it should be allowed. Thats what the filter is there for after all.

Aiyoku, I would like to remind you that you agreed to these rules when you signed up to play. If you have a problem with them, I would ask that you go the Suggestions Forums and write up a proposal on how you think things should be different. There, the people that are able to make those types of calls can read it. Regardless of the situation you were in, you chose to use that language, end of story. I am sorry for the situation you were put into, noone likes greedy players. I myself have been plagued by them, and I can tell you in all honesty, that if I noticed something similar to your account of the story, ya… it would boil my blood. What you have to realize, is that there is always another option in how to handle a situation.

If you would like to contest this action that was placed on your account, I welcome you to contact our Account Administration Department. Just keep in mind that, though we offer ways for people to protect themselves from some language, it is still against policy to use it. At your own risk, you did, and got in reported, and from the sounds of it, the Game Master did everything they should have. :0/
