GM states Babelfish is not against ToU

In my most recent talk with a GM, he stated that the addon Babelfish is NOT against the Terms of Use.

As stated in Blizzard's Terms of Use for World of Warcraft, under #5: Rules of Conduct, section B: Rules Related to "Chat" and Interaction With Other Users, paragraph #10:

"you may not: ...Communicate directly with players who are playing characters aligned with the opposite faction (e.g. Horde communicating with Alliance or vice versa); or"

Please hire GM's that know the Terms of Use for the company/product they are hired to moderate, or at least ones that won't state for fact things that are obviously untrue. I can understand if a GM doesn't know something and asks me to wait a minute while he/she looks it up, but when I directly ask him/her of Babelfish is a violation of Terms of Use and he/she flat out says it is not, I don't appreciate finding out that the GM lied to me.

Also, please do something about all the people I've reported for using Babelfish. I've seen way too many people talk to an opposing faction and then I die to some rogue of the opposing faction while the person who yelled jumbled words sits idly by, /point and /laugh 'ing at me.

The use of this addon is rampant, and people caught using it (it would be quite easy to find them) should be penalized.

Either change your Terms of Use to allow it, or actually step up to the plate and take action for the people that obviously use it. If it's going to be against your Terms of Use, enforce it. If not, change the Terms of Use so I can install the addon and do the same crap that I've had done to me many times.

End QQ/rant.

edit: I should have said that the GM stated that communicating with the opposing faction is not against ToU, not Babelfish specifically.

May we leave the comments to the avenue especially created for them, Vedder? Thank you kindly. :)

Q u o t e:
I believe a Customer Service Forum is the correct "avenue" for which myself and other paying customers to discuss concerns of poor jobs done by GMs as it relates to customer service, don't you?

The discussion I had with the GM is relevant to this thread in the customer service forum, so why should other players be barred from seeing what my experience was like?

Your opinion of the service provided to you — in a private conversation between you and a Game Master, I feel it should be noted, which has no bearing on any other player's experience with our department as a whole — is a matter that belongs between, at most, our managerial staff and yourself. As such, no, I do not share your beliefs. This forum exists, in part, to direct customers to the proper conduits (in this particular case, the [email protected] address) through which further resolution may be found for issues that fall outside this forum's purview.

Folks, can we please try to curtail the infighting? It isn't helping anyone. :)

Many people on these forums need a Babel fish to understand Pav...
