Has anyone noticed there is no more 70 PvP armour?

To Blizzard: Why did you get rid of 70 PvP armour but keep 60 PvP armour? What about the people still on Burning Crusade? Wrath of the Lich King was the stupidest thing to do to this game! Why can't 70 PvP armour stay in the game. I was about the buy the last few peices and, oh look i can't buy them anymore. I was working hard in the game and wasting lots of time getting those marks or the honor. Now it was an absolute waste of time! I heard that thousands of people quit the game because of Wrath of the Lich King. Now I am starting to see why.
I might quit now. Now you're losing $15 dollars a month. If you're acually reading this you're probably thinking, "Oh $15, who cares! We're making around $120,000,000 in sales every month," but if you keep over looking these single quiting players, you're going to end up with only making $30 a month from the die hard World of Warcraft fans.
You better watch out, you're buisness has bug itself a deep hole and hasn't brought a ladder. There are some sticks to make a ladder down in that hole but if you don't make that ladder quick the sticks are going to deteriorate and you will be stuck in that hole with nothing but your shovel to dig your self deeper.

It seems that it may be best to investigate a situation prior to making assumptions regarding what is, or is not the case. The absence of those vendors was not intentional, and the issue is currently being looked into.

Fortunately, the rumors you heard about players leaving World of Warcraft with the advent of Wrath of the Lich King were not only incorrect, but the opposite was true. Thousands of players that had left us returned to experience all that Wrath has to offer. And to clarify, we value each and every one of our subscribers, including yourself, as fellow players, not merely as customers. We will continue to invest all our creative energies in providing an experience that draws millions of players together.

I am truly sorry that you do not seem to enjoy Wrath of the Lich King as so many others do, though. If you have ideas for how it can continue to improve, please feel free to submit them via posts on our Suggestions forum.

This is not about life, this is about a game we all pay to play. If you can't see the difference between the world in a game and life, that's on you.

This is also not about WotLK. This is about taking something out of the game without prior warning based on idiotic whimsy and total lack of forthought. To log on and just see all the 70 PvP gear gone while I am trying to hand in tokens and honor was sickening. I have not seen that kind of arrogance from a gaming company since SOE.

This blue is saying it was a mistake. The CSR said too bad we like screwing with our paying player base. Which is it? I saw no notification when I logged on that stated there was a problem they were looking into. I have no idea if this blue was just telling a lie to get through the thread or what he said was true. When you lose the confidence of your player base by taking a feature out of the game and therebye cutting the knees out of that PvP bracket without prior warning, why should we believe anything this company or its representatives have to say?

This whole fiasco was absolutely disgusting and put Blizzard right up there with Mythic and SOE for arrogant bait and switching their player base. We all know how well that turned out for them.

I'm having a very difficult time locating that source document as it's not really connected to a petition, just quoted. Also, it's not even in the same universe, much less ballpark - of how you paraphrased it. I'm afraid I'm going to have to take a match to that particular strawman, Alliette.

In any case, while I can certainly appreciate being annoyed at this, please try to dial down the rhetoric just a hair.

MMOs are always changing, that's the nature of the beast. The latest information I have is the same as has already been provided earlier in this thread.

If you have issues with design, the Game Master staff will be unable to assist, we are not developers. You need to be speaking directly to our designers, they monitor the Suggestion Forum and that is the proper venue to express your opinions regarding design matters.

Thank you.

Not my particular strawman, you just burnt someone else's. Read the thread, I was quoting someone else.

Thank you for the update on MMO's changing, a stelllar observation indeed. It would have been nice had some previous warning been given so that those of us in that PvP bracket could have turned in our tokens and honor for items we were saving for, or would that be too much to ask? Are you impying that this change was intentional, or could be intentional, or going with it was a boo boo they are "looking into"? I find it difficult to believe that there was an unintentional wipe of all sellers with level 70 PvP gear and the other bracket gear remains intact. The prior seller is still there, in her place, but is now selling jewelcrafting recipies. In one ignorant fell swoop Blizzard cut that entire PvP bracket off at the knees, and left players with now useless tokens and honor. Some of the level 80s gear is now requiring upwards of 60,000 honor to purchase, per item. There are threads about this all over the forums. Did Blizzard think its player base wouldn't notice?

I would hope they would have communicated with you in a much more timely and reasonable fashion than they do their player base. It would have been much more efficacious had they informed their blues so that questions, which were bound to arise, could be answered in an honest and open manner. Apparently not.

No, it was your post I was referring to.

Again, if you have an issue with design, that's not what this forum is about. Please post on the Suggestion Forum.

This thread has gone on for far, far too long.

Here's the ultimate bottom line:

The lack of 70 PvP gear was not intended.

While we do not have an ETA available, we are working on resolving this matter.

Until then, it may be best to pursue activities on World of Warcraft via other characters (as leveling to 71 should result in a reset of Arena Points on a relevant character.)

We do apologize if this is inconvenient at all, and we hope that you are able to continue to otherwise enjoy World of Warcraft in the meanwhile.
